Isaac’s First Football Lesson

Isaac got his first taste of “real” football play today. He told me he wanted to watch football. I explained to him that the football season was over but that I would be glad to teach him how play it. It came in “arena” style (in the living room) but he did well nonetheless. He called his snap count well (which I had great difficulty with on defense) and rushed with the ball in great form, under his arm and the point of the ball between his pointer and middle finger. He ended today’s practice with 18 yards or so (4 trips from one side of the room to the other). I set up the couch pillow to catch his “kick offs”, (which the stadium owner wouldn’t prefer if the options hadn’t been between the pillow and her wall decorations.) he has a strong leg, but we need to work on making contact with the ball. Over all he is showing potential. The score ended 3-1 in his favor with one lost fumble for him. Any ideas for his team name?

  1. Good thing nothing was broken or I am sure your team name would be “Dead Meat!”
